  • Condition: The Poster shows signs of age and storage wear. These include some pin holes, tape on back of corners, and tears on the corners, as well as some edge wear and tears(there 1 large tear on top and it has yellowing tape on the back of it(see photos). Surface of poster shows some minor signs of wear and dirt marks as well as small veins of crinkling. Ther is some color wear on the black border of the poster.

    Aoxomoxoa Grateful Dead 1969 Subway Poster
    Created by cover artist, Rick Griffin and lyricist, Robert Hunter.
    Made in Great Britain this poster is original no reprint or scan and hard to find it in this size.
    The artwork was also used for the cover of the Dead's 3rd album.
    The bottom portion depicts death, rebirth and the cycle of life, with fertility symbols and Egyptian-based imagery.
    The top depicts a sun which doubles as an egg being fertilized.
    Both sides feature stylized censers.
    Measures approximately 55" tall by 38" wide.
