Description
Pleased to offer anEarly Mason's Ironstone Dessert Dish with Pheasants; Cambrian Argil; Circa 1815 impressed mark. I don't see this shape or pattern very often; it has totally different pheasants than normal and they have lovely colors. They are perched in a bouquet of peonies and primula. There is a chip a 9 o'clock, two factory oddities on front; one is a frit and the other is an "innie". There is a hairline at 3 o'clock which is difficult to see and a smaller one just above it that you can see but doesn't go through. There is another small hairline under the chip and another at 5 o'clock that also doesn't go though. General crazing and minor staining. Marked with the seldom seen impresses Mason Cambrian Argil mark. No noticeable scratches or cutlery marks. Measures 8" by 9.5". A beautiful piece !
